CTCI Corp. Chairman Michael Yang Conferred Highest Honor "Engineering Medal" by Chinese Institute of Engineers
We are pleased to announce that Michael Yang, Chairman of CTCI Corp., was conferred the most prestigious Engineering Medal and fellowship by Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) in 2022 for his outstanding achievement in CTCI leadership and sustainable impact. The medal was conferred to Chairman Yang by the Deputy Minister of Public Construction Commission Jeou-Rong Yan during the annual conference, held on November 11 at the Splendor Hotel-Taichung. At the same occasion, two other CTCI staff from the EPCO, Deputy Chief Engineer Andy Wu and Lead Engineer Jerry Hsiao, received Outstanding Engineer Award and Excellent Young Engineers Award, respectively.
With 111 years of history, CIE is the oldest and largest academic group related to engineering in Taiwan. The multiple categories of awards are dedicated to those who make outstanding or substantial contribution to national engineering or CIE.
"Back in 1979 when CTCI was formed, CTCI immediately joined CIE," Chairman Yang said during his address, "we share with CIE a common value, which is to serve our country and our people with engineering expertise. This is a mission we held on to for 40 years. We have actively taken part in major constructions, brought about economic development, introduced foreign technologies, taken local suppliers to global stage, and maximized our engineering impact worldwide. In a way, the world came to know Taiwan through CTCI. This is the collaborative effort of all CTCI staff. I appreciate the affirmation and trust CIE places on us. In resonance with the theme of this year's conference— "Keeping Our Original Engineering Intentions in an Ever-Changing Era"— I believe that despite the change of times, CTCI's original intentions remain the same. CTCI will keep offering its engineering expertise wherever the world needs and driving the world towards a better future."
As Taiwan's no. 1 and one of the world's top 100 engineering companies, CTCI is known for reliable engineering services. CTCI is a recipient of numerous awards and great performer, both domestically and overseas, including: one of the top 100 global engineering companies by ENR; No.1 contractor on the 650 major enterprises rankings by CommonWealth Magazine; a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index for 8 consecutive years; a winner of TCSA's Top 10 Domestic Companies Sustainability Model Award for 6 straight years; and a top 5% performer in corporate governance evaluation for the seventh time.
