CTCI Sustainability Management Framework

CTCI Sustainability Management Framework

Based on the published CTCI Sustainable Development Best Practices, CTCI has formulated three major policies to promote corporate sustainability, integrating them with the company's vision, mission, and culture. It integrates six strategies and the diversified operational models of three business units to create sustainable shared value for stakeholders and CTCI. This core framework and belief on corporate sustainability allows CTCI to become "the most reliable global engineering services provider," "a Guardian of Sustainable Earth," "the best employer that builds a happy workplace," and "a corporate citizen willing to commit."

Establish Climate Performance Reward Mechanisms

Linking Sustainable Goals to Annual Performance Evaluation
CTCI connects sustainable goals to the performance requirement of all supervisors (including the Chief Executive Officer and other senior executives) and departmental KPIs (include M&S departments), making it one of the factors considered for the distribution of performance bonuses. In the "Performance and Development Management System," all departments have established the following key performance indicators (KPIs): "Gross Profit Achievement Rate (including internal carbon fees)," "Contract Value Achievement Rate (including green projects)," "Greenhouse Gas Emissions Intensity Target Achievement Status," and "Net Zero EPC Achievement Rate." Through communication between supervisors and employees, the aforementioned departmental KPI requirements are conveyed, enabling employees to adopt and set personal KPIs, thereby enhancing their efforts in promoting ESG performance. For further details, please refer to the section "3.1 Corporate Governance / Remuneration Policy."

The ESG behavior assessment objectives for employees include
1. Participation in the Group's ESG courses or competition activities;
2. Implementation of ESG × AI Moment sharing in meetings with five or more participants. Encourage employees to place greater emphasis on sustainability and to practice it in both their work and daily lives.

Annual Best Project
The evaluation criteria include energy management performance, with scoring based on the extent to which the project's emission intensity exceeds the annual target. Employees recognized for the best project will receive a project bonus as an incentive.

Proposal Incentive
For innovative and feasible improvement methods proposed for company processes and core technologies, including energy-saving aspects, each approved case will receive a bonus of NT$2,000. The top annual proposers (up to three individuals) will receive an additional bonus of NT$8,000.

Group ESG Award for Sustainability Excellence and Impact
Encourages employees to propose good ideas regarding "Environmental Actions" and "Social Impact." Outstanding proposals will be rewarded and recognized, with a total prize pool of up to NT$310,000. The Gold Award for proposals can receive a reward of NT$ 50,000. This session has also introduced the "Sustainability Promotion Ambassador" program to expand the promotion of environmental actions or social impact initiatives, actively implementing various sustainability actions. Employees are also encouraged to propose diverse and impactful sustainability innovations, which will be evaluated for feasibility and inclusion in practical implementation.
